A warm welcome to this year's summer school, which will take place in the scenic Ånnaboda in Kilsbergen outside Örebro!

The theme is "Participation in society's discourses" and the main speaker is Dr. Sepideh Taheri.

Dr. Sepideh Taheri

Dr. Sepideh Taheri is currently employed as Associate Professor at Western University in London, Canada, and Director of Pediatric Hospital Medicine at Children's Hospital, London Health Sciences Centre, where she combines clinical work with teaching and research.

Previously, she held the position of consultant pediatrician and honorary lecturer at Royal Hospital for Sick Children and University of Edinburgh. She has a particular interest in the areas of health, women's advancement and comparative spirituality.

She has worked at several local, regional and national decision-making professional and community institutions and has been involved in various development projects in her areas of interest. She has completed many courses and lectured widely on these and other topics.

We also have the pleasure and great honor to be able to present the highly esteemed artist and musician Ali Youssefi, who in addition to holding a music workshop where we set the Bahá'í scriptures to music, will also perform and inspire us with his music.

Ali Youssefi

Ali has been surrounded by music all his life. Having had the opportunity to live in several places around the world, he has been exposed to many different musical expressions, many of which find a place in his compositions.

Ali studied classical guitar in Chile before moving to Argentina to pursue a degree in music therapy. His musical curiosity and love of diversity combine to make him a versatile and original composer and performer, mixing genres, instruments and cultures into a unique soundscape.

His greatest joy comes when he unites people through music, which he strives for in all his musical endeavors.

In addition to Ali Youssefi's music workshop, we will also offer workshops in the following languages: English, Swedish and Persian. More information about these will come later. Of course, there will also be children's classes and youth programs as usual.
